Pentel Arts Milky Brush - White

Works well for certain applications, but falls short if you're expecting something akin to an opaque application of white. First off, I would suggest going elsewhere if you're looking for a way of laying down flat, opaque colour with minimal strokes. This brush can achieve that, but there are other tools out there that can do a better job. Pentel used to have a white brush pen with a squeezable body that was perfect for this, but I can't find it anywhere lately; the Kuretake Zig is an okay replacement, albeit not as precise and not meant for long stretches of use since it dries on the bristles even quicker. Going back to the Milky; due to the nature of the white ink, it tends to dry quickly which can lead to clumping on the bristles within ~10 minutes of being exposed to air. To mitigate the fast drying nature, I tend to moisten the bristles occasionally in order to maintain smooth strokes and ink flow; this usually helps with prolonged usage before I have to wipe down the tip with a wet paper towel. However, this creates something of an imperfect, translucent quality when putting down lines if you overdo it; annoying for some, but perfect in my case, since that's exactly what I'm looking for. So, if you need more of a two-dimensional type of brush pen that is straightforward and easy to use: 3/5. However, if you are looking to add depth to your work and don't mind testing the waters, (pun absofrigginlutely intended), this little brush pen's quirks might be worth it for you: an easy 4.5/5. Good quality.

Writes super well over acrylic paint, the main reason I got it. But it works equally as well to put in highlights on ink drawings.
